Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 spotted on TENAA with 4000mAh battery

A new smartphone from Xiaomi dubbed as Redmi Note 5 has received the certifications from the Chinese regulatory website, TENAA which revealed some of its major specifications and images.

Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and will be powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor, which could either a Qualcomm or MediaTek processor. However, it is suggested by the earlier leak that the device could be powered by MediaTek P25 or P30 chipset, while there could be a high-end variant with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. It will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9.

In the camera sections, the Redmi Note 5 will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It will support a 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, which could be expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card.

The Redmi Note 5 will measure 158.5 x 75.45 x 8.05 mm and weighs 179.5 grams. Connectivity wise the smartphone will support 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM,fingerprint sensor, which is present at the back panel and an infrared sensor and a huge 4000mAh battery.

The smartphone will be avaialble in black gold, white, blue, red, gray, silver, gold and rose gold colour options.
