Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ launched at Rs 57,900 and Rs. 64900

Recently, Samsung confirmed that it is going to officially launch its flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India on April 19th and now as per its promise Samsung launched its flagship smartphones the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in India on Wednesday.

Samsung Galaxy S8: –

Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ (2960 × 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with 570ppi, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor with Mali-G71 MP20 GPU along with 4GB of RAM. The global variant though is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The Samsung Galaxy S8 runs Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system.

The smartphone features Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor, Heart Rate Sensor, Proximity Sensor, RGB Light Sensor, Iris Sensor, Pressure Sensor. Connectivity wise it features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth v 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST.

It comes with 64GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card and a 3000mAh battery with fast Charging both on wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging. In terms of cameras, Samsung Galaxy S8 features 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.55″ sensor size, OIS, 1.4µm pixel size on the rear and an 8MP auto focus front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1/3.6″ sensor size, 1.22µm pixel size, 80-degree wide-angle lens for selfies. It measures 148.90 x 68.10 x 8.00 mm and weigh 155 grams.

Whereas, Samsung Galaxy S8+ features a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ (2960 × 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with 529ppi, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor with Mali-G71 MP20 GPU along with 4GB of RAM. The global variant though is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The Samsung Galaxy S8 runs Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system.

The prices of the smartphone are Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900 respectively. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available for purchase starts from May 5 — with pre-orders beginning from today — both online and offline.  The device will be Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold color options. Both the phones will ship with AKG-tuned headphones.
