Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ passed via FCC

Recently, tipster Ricciolo said that Samsung decide to hold multiple-city launch events in the US and somewhere in the EU on 29th March, 2017 where it will announce flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. There’s also mention of a ‘record breaking marketing campaign’. Last week some live images of the Samsung Galaxy S8 surfaced over the web on Venturebeat by @Evleaks which reveals almost everything about the device including images, specifications and launch dates.

Now both the smartphones have received the FCC certifications in the U.S which reveals SM-G950U, SM-G950U1 and SM-G950W model numbers for the Galaxy S8 and SM-G955U, SM-G955U1 and SM-G955W model numbers for the Galaxy S8+.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ (2560×1440 pixels) curved Super AMOLED pressure sensitive display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 / Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processo rand runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat).

It has Dual SIM functionality and comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory, expandable memory with microSD. In the rear side of the device it has a 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture and in the front side it has an 8MP camera, f/1.7 aperture for selfie.

It equips with 3.5mm headphone jack, Heart rate sensor, Fingerprint sensor, Iris scanner, Barometer, IP68 ratings water and dust resistance. Connectivity wise it  features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS with GLONASS, USB 2.0, NFC and 3000mAh battery with fast Charging both on wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging.

Samsung Galaxy S8+ features 6.2-inch Quad HD+ (2560×1440 pixels) curved Super AMOLED pressure sensitive display and is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with Adreno 540 GPU / Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor with Mali-G71 MP20 GPU and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat).

It has Dual SIM functionality and comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory, expandable memory with microSD. In the rear side of the device it has a 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture and in the front side it has an 8MP camera, f/1.7 aperture for selfie.
