From earlier few days, we came with teaser images of the upcoming Gear S2 smartwatch. It is the first smartwatch from Samsung with a round touchscreen.
The both models Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic passed the FCC certification and move one more step towards IFA event which will be held in Berlin on 3rd September, 2015.
According to the US regulatory agency, Samsung Gear S2 comes with code name Samsung SM-R720 and the other watch Gear S2 Classic has code of SM-R732 and also unveiled that both the smartwatches will feature Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built-in connectivity, but there is absence of mobile data connectivity.
It is expected that the Samsung will use the feature mobile data connectivity in its third generation of smartwatch in near future.
According to the previous rumor, the upcoming Gear S2 will come with a rotating bezel and it will sport a 360×360 touchscreen, 768MB of RAM, storage capacity of 4GB, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, an accelerometer, a gyro, a barometer, a heart rate monitor. It will run a special version of Tizen.
It will be powered by an Exynos 3472 chipset with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and a 450MHz Mali-400 MP4 GPU, It will be powered by a battery of 250 mAh .
The cost of the Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic Smartwatch is still unknown.
