Philips X596 with 16MP camera and 4000 mAh battery launched

A latest smartphone from Philips dubbed Philips X596 has been launched in China.

The Philips X596 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.

In the camera sections, the Philips X596 sports 16-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash, and a same 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. It comes in two versions – one with 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and other with 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. Both versions’ internal memory will be expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The device measures 156.4 × 77.4 × 8.35 mm and it weighs 177.8 grams. Connectivity wise the smartphone offers Dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS/GLONASS, micro USB support, a fingerprint scanner and a huge 4000 mAh non-removable battery supporting 9V/2A fast charging.

The price of 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage versions is 1,299 Yuan which is approximately Rs 12,703 and the price of 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage is 1,499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 14,661.

At now the smartphone is available for pre-order on JD.com and will start shipping from November 5.
