Oppo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has finally unveiled its much awaited selfie focused smartphone called Oppo F5 at an event in the Philippines.
OPPO F5 features a 6-inch (2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 FHD+ full-scren 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is powered by 2.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P23 16nm processor with 800MHz ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with ColorOS 3.2.
In the camera sections, the smartphone offers 16MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture and main highlight of the device is its front-facing 20-megapixel camera with 1/2.8 inch sensor, aperture f/2.0. The selfie camera comes with AI technology which promises clear and beautiful selfies and can be used to unlock the device using facial recognition. According to the company, it offers bokeh effect and can scan 200 facial recognition spots to beautify a selfie shot perfectly.It comes with 4GB RAM with 32GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD.
The smartphone measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5mm and weight: 152g. Connectivity wise the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, Fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and 3200mAh built-in battery. It also supports O-share – a wireless transfer technology that promises 100 times faster transfers compared to Bluetooth.
The price of 4GB RAM version is 15990 Philippine Peso which is approximately Rs 19,985 for and it will be available for pre-order in the Philippines from today. Oppo F5 will go on sale next week from November 4th in the Philippines.
