Recently, the Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC posted an official press invite on their Weibo account with the keyword “Eye” which confirmed that the upcoming smartphone HTC U11 EYEs will be officially announced on 15th January, 2018 in 3 Asian countries including China, Hong Kong, as well as Taiwan. Now, HTC has launched its flagship device U11 EYEs in Taiwan and China.
HTC U11 EYEs features a 6-inch full HD+ Super LCD 3 display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and the screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The smarpthone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor along with Adreno 510 GPU and runs on the Android 7.1.2 Nougat and has HTC’s proprietary Sense skin.
In the camera sections, the smartphone offers a 12-megapixel rear camera with 4K recording, auto focus, Dual LED Flash, OIS, f/1.7 aperture and Phase Detection and in the front side, the device will be equipped with a dual camera setup of 5-megapixel and 5-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture, 80-degree wide-angle lens. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and expandable memory upto 2TB via microSD card. HTC U11 EYEs comes with IP67 certified for dust and water resistance and it has also HTC USonic audio technology with active noise reduction.
HTC U11 EYEs measures 157.9 x 74.99 x 8.5 mm and weighs 185grams. Connectivity wise the smartphone offers dual SIM slot, 4G LTE, USB 2.0 Type-C port, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5GHz)), NFC and a 3930 mAh unit with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
The HTC U11 EYEs will be available in three colour options – Silver, Black and Silver. The price of smartphone is NT$ 14,900 in Taiwan which is approximately Rs 32,020. Currently, it is available for pre-order in Taiwan and the shipment will start from February 1. In China with a price tag of 3,299 Yuan which is approximately Rs 32,524 and the device will be shipped from 25th January, 2018.
