Honor, the Huawei’s sub-brand has launched a new smartphone Honor 8 Pro for the Indian users which is the exactly the same smartphone that was launched in China in February under the moniker Honor V9.
The stand out features of the smartphone is a dual camera setup, massive 4000mAh battery and an impressive 6GB of RAM.
Honor 8 Pro features a 5.7-inch QHD LTPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and is powered by Kirin 960 (4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz + 4 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz). It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1.
In the camera section, the rear camera comes with a combination of 12-megapixel sensors with one being used to capture RGB, while other captures details in monochrome. The smartphone also supports 4K recording at 30 frames per second and comes with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
The smartphone comes with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It comes with 128GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded further by using the hybrid microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The smartphone measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams. Connectivity wise it features ort 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-SIM, infrared sensor and a 4000mAh battery.
Honor 8 Pro will be available in Navy Blue and Midnight Black colour choices in India. At the moment we don’t have any info regarding its price. The smartphone will be made available from the first half of July and will be exclusively available on Amazon.
It is noted that the Honor 8 Pro was launched with a price tag of EUR 549 (roughly Rs. 39,500) in Europe.
