Gionee A1 announced in India with 16MP front camera, 4GB RAM, Android 7.0

Gionee announced a selfie-focused smartphone in India namely Gionee A1.

Gionee A1 features a 5.5-inch (1920× 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS in-cell 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by a 2GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with Mali T860 GPU. It runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Amigo OS.

It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD). It has a 4GB RAM, 64GB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with micro SD. In the rear side of the device it has a 13MP camera with LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 1/3.0+” sensor, 5P lens, Sony IMX258 sensor and the main highlight of the smartphone is its 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1/3.06″ sensor, selfie flash and face beauty features.

It has an Aircraft-grade unibody metal design and Fingerprint sensor. Connectivity wise it has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n(2.4GHz+5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, Waves MaxxAudio and a 4010mAh battery with support for fast charging that lets you charge the phone fully in less than 2 hours with 18W charger. The smartphone measures 154.5 x 76.5 x 8.5mm, weight: 182g.

The Gionee A1 will be available in Gray, Black and Gold colors and it will be available for pre-order starting March 31.


The price of the phone is INR 19,999 ($305) and will be available offline and online.
