The device Fairphone 2 with modular design was launched in June, 2015. Now the manufacturer Fairphone started the shipping of the device across Europe.
Such information was mentioned by the company Fairphone in a blog as-“It’s been almost two years in the making, and some of the earliest buyers have been patiently waiting since July to receive their new phones,” said Fairphone community manager Douwe in a blog post. “As community manager, I want to personally welcome the new batch of Fairphone owners to our community.”
It is expected that the first 1,000 units will be shipped this month and the rest of pre-orders will be completed in January 2016.
The device Fairphone 2 sports a display of 5″ with the resolutions of 1080pixels with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2GB RAM.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It has a rear camera of 8MP.
The device supports 4G LTE and dual-SIM, and also has a microSD slot.
The users can get the device at the cost of €525. It is still available in Europe.
