Chinese smartphone manufacturer Alcatel launched U5 earlier this year in February at MWC event. Now it has announced an upgraded version of U5 called as Alcatel U5 HD.
Alcatel U5 HD features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad core 1.1GHz processor. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
In the camera section, the smartphone sports a 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and an 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash support as well. The handset also comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up-to 128 GB via a microSD card.
Connectivity wise, Alcatel U5 HD offers Dual SIM, 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/A-GPS and a 2200 mAh battery which is rated to offer 4 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time.
Alcatel U5 HD smartphone will be available in two colour options – Volcano Black and Pure White. At the moment we don’t have any info regarding its pricing and availability but it is expected that it will be announced in early September at IFA 2017.
